Paris Hilton recently shared some concerning updates after a fire broke out and destroyed her trailer on the set of her upcoming music video for the single “Bad Bitch Academy” this past Friday.
“Unfortunately, an accidental fire started in my trailer during the shoot today,” the heiress and pop star revealed via an Instagram story, along with a photo of the burnt trailer. “As devastating as it is, I’m so grateful that everyone is safe, and I deeply appreciate the incredible support I have around me.”
The “Stars Are Blind” singer tagged the video’s director, Hannah Lux Davis, who responded on her own Instagram story: “Insane day. So thankful everyone was safe. Love you, @parishilton.”
Hilton also tagged Meghan Trainor, who collaborated with her on her previous single “Chasin,'” as well as Heidi Klum and Lance Bass, who may appear in the music video despite not having an official connection to the project.
In a follow-up post, Hilton wrote, “Not how I expected my music video shoot for ‘Bad Bitch Academy’ to go…” alongside a photo of several scorched items from the trailer. Later, she posted a picture with Klum at a glittery event, possibly a wrap party for the video, captioned “The show must go on.” Hilton did not disclose the cause of the fire, and her representatives have not yet responded to Entertainment Weekly’s request for comment.
Klum reposted Hilton’s initial story about the incident with the praying hands emoji and shared several photos and videos from the same event featuring Hilton, Bass, and Simon Rex, star of Red Rocket and Blink Twice, who also used the #BadBitchAcademy hashtag in his post.
Despite the scare, Hilton appeared unfazed later in the day, sharing a video of herself dancing with longtime best friend Nicole Richie and Kesha to the latter’s new single, “Joyride.”
The former reality star is currently promoting her upcoming sophomore album, Infinite Icon, set for release on September 6. So far, she has dropped two singles: “I’m Free” featuring Rina Sawayama and “Chasin'” with Meghan Trainor. The album will also feature collaborations with Sia and Maria Becerra.
Infinite Icon arrives 18 years after Hilton’s debut album Paris, which included the hit single “Stars Are Blind.” Her latest project teaser featured appearances from Kris Jenner, Elle and Dakota Fanning, Benny Blanco, and Demi Lovato.
In addition to her music, Hilton is set to return to reality TV alongside Richie in a new series that is not a reboot of A Simple Life.
Moreover, A24 and Elle and Dakota Fanning’s production company, Lewellen Pictures, are working on a narrative TV series adaptation of Hilton’s life.
