Travis Kelce Gets Trolled on Jeopardy!: ‘Maybe More Famous as a BF’

NFL star Travis Kelce has had a standout year, not just on the football field but also in pop culture. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end recently found himself the subject of a playful jab on Jeopardy! On Wednesday’s episode, contestants faced a $200 clue in the category “The TV Show in Question,” which read: “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? is hosted by this man who’s maybe more famous as a BF than as a 3-time Super Bowl champ.” Contestant Derek Hieronymus quickly responded, “Who is Travis Kelce?” much to the audience’s delight.
The Jeopardy! clue referred to Kelce’s highly publicized romance with Taylor Swift, who has been dating the football star for over a year, as well as his role hosting Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? on Prime Video. The show is a spinoff of the popular Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?, and Kelce expressed excitement about his new hosting gig. “I grew up loving game shows, and I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one,” Kelce said.
In addition to game show hosting, Kelce recently appeared in Ryan Murphy’s horror series Grotesquerie, marking his acting debut. However, his relationship with Swift continues to steal the spotlight. The couple’s journey began when Kelce shared on his New Heights podcast that he had hoped to meet Swift during her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City. After mentioning his efforts to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it, rumors of their romance spread. Swift first publicly supported him on September 24, attending his Chiefs game alongside his mom, Donna, sparking media and fan frenzy.
Since then, the two have been inseparable, with fans and cameras capturing every move they make. Although Jeopardy! may have poked fun at Kelce’s newfound fame as Swift’s boyfriend, it’s clear that the NFL champ is making his mark both on and off the field.
