John Krasinski Named PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive 2024 — and Emily Blunt is Already Planning a Home Redesign

The Office star John Krasinski has officially been crowned PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2024, much to the delight of his wife, actress Emily Blunt. Reflecting on the moment he received the news, Krasinski admitted he was in disbelief. “Just immediate blackout, actually. Zero thoughts,” he told PEOPLE, joking that he half-expected he was being punked.
Blunt, however, knew exactly how to react. Krasinski revealed she was “very excited” when he shared the news with her, and she even teased that she might go as far as wallpapering their Brooklyn home with the magazine cover. Krasinski quipped, “My children will love that; it won’t be weird at all,” imagining the reactions of their daughters, Hazel, 10, and Violet, 8.
Krasinski shared his admiration for Blunt and their marriage of 14 years. “It’s that beautiful thing where when you’re married to someone, you’re constantly learning and changing and evolving,” he said. “And I’m so lucky to go through all that with her.”
Known for his iconic roles in The Office and Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, as well as his directorial success with A Quiet Place, Krasinski has expanded his career in recent years. Earlier this year, he directed, wrote, and starred in IF, a family dramedy, and is set to appear alongside Natalie Portman in the upcoming action heist film Fountain of Youth.
Joining the ranks of past winners like Chris Evans, Idris Elba, and Patrick Dempsey, Krasinski isn’t letting the honor go to his head. When asked if it would change his life at home, he joked, “I think it’s going to make me do more household chores. After this comes out, she’ll be like, ‘All right, that means you’re going to really earn it here at home.’”
